Disappointing. Four months to the day of the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Games, Olympic fever has not gripped France. Not yet. A survey carried out by Viavoice, unveiled on the occasion of the Journalism Conference in Tours, reveals that only 37% of French people are waiting " with a lot of " ou “a little impatience” Olympic Games. Barely a little more than a third, therefore, of those questioned, as preparation for the event enters its last twelve weeks. Conversely, the majority of respondents (57%) say they wait with " little " ou “no impatience” the start of the event. Impatience is even more limited for the Paralympic Games, expected by only 30% of those questioned. A trend confirmed by the COJO's current difficulties in selling tickets for Paralympic competitions. The opinion survey was carried out online among a sample of 1.001 people, representative of the population aged 18 and over residing in mainland France.
