CLEMI and Paris 2024 sign an agreement to bring sport, media education and citizen engagement to life!

Sport and media and information education are strong drivers of engagement and citizenship. In this Olympic and Paralympic year, the Center for Media and Information Education (CLEMI) and Paris 2024, with its “Generation 2024” label, are expressing their common ambition to promote and develop media education actions. and information related to sport, in its unifying and educational dimension.

By signing this agreement, CLEMI structures its commitment to bring together all stakeholders in school sport and strengthen media and information education through the theme of sport. With the labeling of actions in the Generation 2024 program, CLEMI is at the heart of its training missions and creation of educational resources to support teachers and more broadly the educational community. Resources and a training course will be deployed throughout the year and in the years to come.

The highlights proposed by CLEMI and its partners in 2024 will be an integral part of the “Generation 2024” program:

March 6: Day « Go girls ! On the ground of equality » in Saint Denis (Créteil academy) with the Ministry of National Education, Youth, Sports, Olympic and Paralympic Games (MENJSJOP), the UNSS and France Télévisions. To open the week of girls-boys equality which will take place from Wednesday March 6 to Wednesday March 15, the MENJSJOP, in partnership with France Télévisions, is offering a Girls/Boys Equality day through sport and the media. It will be an opportunity to mobilize students through exchanges, discussions, reports and sports practices. It will also allow you to meet champions, journalists and women involved in the sports, media and associative sectors.

March 18 to March 23 : first action in terms of number of participants within the education system, the Press and media week in the School supports students, from kindergarten to high school, in order to help them understand and decipher the world of the media, to know how to verify sources and information, to develop their taste for current events and to forge their identity as citizen. For this 35rd edition, numerous resources, educational sheets, meetings, webinars will be devoted to the values ​​of sport and Olympism.

4 and 5 April : During the Olympic and Paralympic week, France Télévisions, USEP and CLEMI of the Orléans-Tours academy, with the support of Paris 2024, are offering a day on the theme of sport, equality between girls and boys through media education and to information around workshops on gender equality and media and information education. In Châteauroux, site of the Olympic and Paralympic sports shooting events, this day will bring together around a hundred P'tits reporters from the USEP mobilized to interview all the players (800 students with their teachers and around thirty personalities from the sports, media and These P'tits Reporters will be accompanied during these 2 days by CLEMI and journalists from the sports department of France Télévisions, France 3 and France Bleu.

15 at 24 may : organized by Réseau Canopé with CLEMI on the theme “ Sport and media, the rules of the game » the Spring of the NDE offers meetings and exchanges around media and information education for the educational community and the general public. Specialist conferences, webinars, workshops and residencies will contribute to the training of educators by nourishing them with reflections, projects and classroom practices.

4 June : Delivery of Zero Price Cliché: Equality between girls and boys with, for this 12th edition, a special sports prize with France Télévisions at the Georges-Pompidou National Center for Art and Culture. From kindergarten to high school, the competition allows students to design media productions (articles, blogs, TV or radio shows, podcasts, reports, etc.) to analyze gender stereotypes in daily life. The godmother of the sports prize is a 3X3 basketball world champion, Hortense Limouzin and the godfather is the presenter of the 20 p.m. news from France 2 on weekends: Laurent Delahousse.

24 and 25 June : Following the Olympic day of June 23, a major sports gathering with the educational sports federation of Catholic education (UGSEL) will be mediated by the UGSEL Reporters in Argenton in Orne.

2 6 in September : During part of the Paralympic Games, Web Radio and Web TV studios in the “Club France” village and in other spaces will allow student reporters to interview Paralympic personalities involved in the sports, media and associative sectors. Students benefiting from “My class at the games” will also be able to produce reports related to the competitions they will attend.
