WADA celebrates Play True Day 2024 with the global anti-doping community as #OnePlayTrueTeam, the world's largest team working for clean sport

Communiqué

Montreal, April 19, 2024

La Play Fair Day 2024 is finally here, and the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) is delighted that the entire global anti-doping community is joining its social media campaign, dedicated to raising awareness of the importance of clean sport.

WADA President Witold Bańka said: “WADA is proud to celebrate its 25th anniversary this year. Born from the urgency to tackle the problem of doping in sport, the creation of the Agency in 1999 sparked the global collaborative movement for doping-free sport. Since then, athletes around the world have benefited from the commitment of the global anti-doping community, past and present. The development of the global anti-doping system has been and always will be a true team effort. We've come a long way together and we must go further to improve the game for athletes everywhere, so join us this Play True Day to celebrate 25 years of Team Franc Jeu! »

We invite athletes, national and regional anti-doping organizations, sports federations, governments, major event organizers and other anti-doping stakeholders around the world to commit to supporting and join WADA to build the world's largest team united for clean sport; #OnePlayTrueTeam.

  • Others GIF which can be published on Instagram. These can be found in the stories search bar under “AMA” or “Franc Jeu” or even “WADA” or “Play True”.

We also invite participants to:
