Gerflor joins the adventure

Paris 2024

Less than four months before the opening (D – 119), the COJO Paris 2024 is further completing its catalog of private partners. The latest, Gerflor, joins the adventure as an official supporter, the third level of the national marketing program. The French group, one of the world leaders in the field of floor coverings, will supply more than 30.000 m2 of sports floors, i.e. 38 playing surfaces on 18 competition sites. For the Olympic Games, it will equip 11 handball courts, seven volleyball courts and two for basketball training, plus a warm-up area for boxing. For the Paralympic Games, Gerflor will bring six sitting volleyball courts, five goalball courts and three wheelchair basketball courts, plus two boccia courts, two wheelchair rugby courts and one para badminton court. After the end of the Games, the group is committed to reusing the floors in sports or educational establishments. More than 75% of the surfaces intended for the Paris 2024 Games are manufactured in France, close to the main competition sites.
