Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck in Olympic version

CIO

The IOC is not shying away from any initiative to try to rejuvenate the public of the Olympic Games. The body announces that it has concluded a global licensing agreement with the branch dedicated to derivative products of the American giant Warner Bros (WBDGCP). It plans to create a licensed Olympic collection bringing together the brand's most iconic characters, including Bugs Bunny, Lola Bunny, Daffy Duck, Vile Coyote and Tweety. The agreement is part of the IOC's global licensing program, created at the launch of Olympic Agenda 2020+5. Looney Tunes products will join theOlympic Collection, aimed at a young audience through branded products such as clothing, games and toys, bags, stationery and sports equipment. The agreement announced Monday March 25 does not only concern the IOC. Warner Bros has also partnered, via its WBDGCP entity, with the organizing committees of the Milan-Cortina 2026 and Los Angeles 2028 Games, the national Olympic committees of Australia, New Zealand, Poland, Spain and from Mexico. In each of these countries, the American company will offer specific Looney Tunes products for each Olympic team. Finally, WBDGCP has also created articles for the United States and Brazil Paralympic teams.
