Volunteers dressed in turquoise

Paris 2024

Four months and a few hours before the opening, the COJO Paris 2024 took advantage of the organization of its Volunteer Forum, Saturday March 23, to reveal the outfits that the volunteers will wear. Designed and produced by Decathlon, the set includes fifteen pieces: four turquoise t-shirts, a vest that can be transformed into a jacket, two turquoise 2-in-1 pants-shorts, four pairs of socks, a pair of sneakers, a bucket hat, a fanny pack and a bag. In total, production represents around a million pieces, a little more than half (53%) made in France, including 250.000 t-shirts made by four workshops located in Bouches-du-Rhône (Fil Rouge), Aube (L'Atelier d’Ariane), the Loiret (Scavi), and the North (Resilience). A fifth French company, Tismail, based in the town of Troyes (Aube), produced the socks. The other elements of the uniform were mainly made in Vietnam. Distribution of outfits will begin at the end of May. It will end at the start of the Games. No less than 45.000 volunteers were recruited by the OCOG for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, with an equal number of men and women. They come from 101 French departments, but also from abroad – 150 countries – for 20% of them. More than 5% of volunteers retained by Paris 2024 have a disability.
