Everything except a surprise: World Triathlon continues its breakthrough into the world of electronic sports without any downtime. After teaming up with the Super League Triathlon for the creation of a series of international competitions, the Arena Games Triathlon powered by Zwift, the discipline body announces in a press release the names of the three cities which will host the stages in 2022 of the circuit. Virtual triathlon fans will meet on April 9 in Munich, then on April 23 in London. The best among them will then travel to Singapore for the Grand Final of the Arena Games Triathlon, scheduled for May 7. The first edition of this new type of competition took place last year in two stages, with a first stage in Rotterdam, followed by a second in London. At each of the three competitions on the circuit, athletes will be able to earn points for the world ranking. At the end of the series, the best ranked will be awarded the first electronic triathlon world champion titles. Invented in the midst of a health crisis, the Arena Games Triathlon announces itself as “ the future of indoor triathlon“, promises the world body of the discipline.
