FIFA threatens Fecafoot

Football

The warning is given. FIFA sent a letter to the President of the Cameroon Football Federation (Fecafoot) following the intervention of the government, notably via the Minister of Sports and Youth, in the Fecafoot electoral process.

The government intervention constitutes a direct violation of Articles 13 and 17 of the FIFA regulations. The said letter, signed by Jérôme Valcke, President of FIFA, asks the president of Fecafoot to contact the Minister of Sports to inform him of FIFA's position. A response is expected by April 9, otherwise FIFA will have to resort to disciplinary sanctions.
