Paris 2024 launches the digital “Games Map” to enjoy Games celebrations throughout France

Communiqué

The arrival of the flame in Marseille on May 8 will mark the start of 4 months of celebration across France with the hope that as many people as possible can participate in the celebration. The program for the Paris 2024 celebrations has been designed for all audiences with the ambition of opening the Games wide, beyond the host cities.

In order to allow everyone to build their tailor-made experience, Paris 2024 is launching the Games Map this Wednesday, May 8. Developed with the support of Salesforce, it is available on the official application and website and lists all events related to the Games.

The Games Map: an essential tool to thrill to the rhythm of the Paris 2024 Games

The Games Map lists in particular:

  • The flame route and its 65 celebration sites throughout France
  • The Cultural Olympiad events (exhibitions, plays, artistic performances, etc.)
  • Celebration sites such as the Champions Park or the 2024 Clubs: spread across all territories, these 2024 Clubs set up by the communities will allow residents to follow the events live on a giant screen, to learn about sporting and para-sporting activities and to vibrate to the rhythm of the Games.
  • Events organized by Paris 2024 stakeholders (communities, partners) but also those of their networks (sports clubs, cultural, tourist actors).

All fans will be able to build their personalized program based on where they are by applying filters (location, date, type of event sought, etc. ).

Updated in real time, the Games Map will be enriched every day as the Paris 2024 Games approach.

This tool was developed with the support of Salesforce. As an Official Supporter, Salesforce supports Paris 2024 at several stages of the fans' digital journey thanks to different solutions. This makes it possible to offer fans connected and personalized experiences, in particular through the creation of the Games map. Stakeholders, such as communities, associations, partners and businesses, first fill out a form (developed on Experience Cloud technology) to submit their events. This information is then processed by Paris 2024 using the Service Cloud platform, where the teams, supported by 50 Salesforce employees, examine and validate the projects to be referenced. Once approved, these events are published on the Games Map.

The celebration of the Paris 2024 Games, an unprecedented ambition, to be found on the Games Map

Paris 2024 has imagined an exceptional program, mobilizing all regional stakeholders, beyond the host communities. With its ambition to open the Games wide, the public space will resonate more than ever to the rhythm of the Games and the exploits of the athletes.

For the first time, a celebration site open to the public and free of charge will celebrate medal-winning Olympic Games athletes, outside of their competition site. The Champions Park installed at the Trocadéro will welcome 120.000 people over 9 days to celebrate all the international medalists of the Olympic Games the day after their exploits.

Club France and the Parc des Nations at La Villette will be the HQ of many delegations and around 200 Clubs 2024 will be organized throughout France, on the square in front of the Paris City Hall as in all the regions.

On Mini-Clubs 2024 will also be specially set up during the Paralympic Games in schools for young people with dedicated sports workshops and in particular disability awareness experiences.

More than 2.000 certified cultural and artistic projects Cultural Olympiad are offered to the public across the four corners of France. For example, sport will be in the spotlight during the Cannes festival (May 14 to 25), while the Avignon festival (June 29 to July 21) will offer programming around issues of inclusion and disability.
