A German recruited as general director

EOC

The Association of European Olympic Committees (EOC) is strengthening. It announced the recruitment of a general director: the German Jan Lehmann (photo above). Chosen at the end of a long process led by the Deloitte agency, during which 1.840 applications were studied, he will take up his duties at the body's headquarters in Rome, alongside the secretary general, the Italian Raffaele Pagnozzi. After starting his professional career at McKinsey, Jan Lehmann held management positions at Infront, the German Football League (DFL), and Nielsen Sports. He also served on the board of directors of Bundesliga club Mainz 05. The arrival of a general manager was high on the EOC's roadmap to 2030, particularly with a view to greater professionalism and growth of continental events.
