Less than two months before the event, foreign participation in the BRICS Games (June 12 to 23 in Kazan) is starting to take shape. Already announced as a certain starter, Venezuela has lifted the veil on its delegation. It should have between 40 and 45 athletes. “ We plan to be present in nine sporting disciplines”, assured the Venezuelan Deputy Minister of Sports and Youth, Pablo Alfonso Yustiz Araujo, before a meeting between the heads of delegation for the multisport event. Pointed out by the IOC as a “ tool of political propaganda », the BRICS Games should bring together around fifty countries, according to the Russian authorities. The program will include 25 sports.
