Start of the Para-Games in Costa Rica

The Central American Para Games, a multi-disciplinary competition reserved for disabled athletes, begins this Friday, April 12 in San José, capital of Costa Rica. They bring together no less than 250 athletes, from El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama and of course Costa Rica. Participants will compete in five disciplines: athletics, goalball (ball sport for visually impaired athletes), powerlifting, swimming and wheelchair basketball. The competitions will take place until April 21.
