With just over three years to go before the event, the sports program for the 2027 Francophonie Games in Yerevan, Armenia, is taking shape. The International Committee of the Games of La Francophonie (CIJF) announces that four sports, the most usual, will remain : judo, table tennis, football (men), and athletics, with a disabled sports component for the latter. Two new, more urban disciplines join the list: 3x3 basketball and breaking. Finally, the host country, Armenia, chose to complete the program with three sports: weightlifting, team chess and wheelchair basketball. In the cultural field, the 2027 Francophonie Games in Yerevan will retain the seven artistic disciplines known as “holders », but adding digital creation, theater and ball juggling, chosen by Armenia in its capacity as host of the event. Only the theater is new, the other two additions having already been part of the program for previous Games.
