American wrestlers will be able to travel to Iran next week to compete in the freestyle wrestling World Cup. The announcement is very official, since it comes from the Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bahram Ghasemi. He assured this on the national television channel, explaining that the ban on Americans entering the territory was initially decided after the signing by Donald Trump of an anti-immigration decree concerning 7 Muslim countries, including Iran. A US federal judge having suspended the decree, Iran no longer has any reason to prevent Americans, including the wrestling team, from entering its territory. The wrestlers will therefore be able to participate in the World Cup stage, scheduled for February 16 and 17 in Kermanshah.
