World Rowing is paving its way in Japan. The world rowing body announces that it has concluded a cooperation agreement with the Japan Sport Council to jointly develop a research project on indoor rowing and virtual sport. The agreement is intended to be very broad, with an academic component (studies and research, publication of articles and documents, etc.) and a more practical dimension (exchanges and visits by representatives of the two organizations, joint presentation of case studies during international conferences, seminars and workshops, etc.). As a reminder, rowing was on the program for the first edition of Olympic eSports Week, organized last June in Singapore at the initiative of the IOC.
