The International Lacrosse Federation (World Lacrosse) is playing for continuity. It has announced that it has extended the contract of its general manager, Jim Scherr, for a new four-year lease. The American, former general manager of the National Olympic Committee (USOC), will remain in place at least until the end of 2028. Jim Scherr joined World Lacrosse in 2017, where he notably supported the change of name of the organization, its professionalization, and the increase in the number of its members, now close to a hundred (92). Above all, he contributed to the entry of the discipline into the Olympic program, as an additional sport at the Los Angeles 2028 Games.
