Logic. The International World Games Association (IWGA) announced that it had signed a partnership agreement with Chinese giant Weibo, the second largest social media platform in the country behind WeChat (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat are banned in China) . Anything but a coincidence, since the next edition of the World Games, where non-Olympic sports and disciplines are brought together every four years, will take place in 2025 in the Chinese city of Chengdu (August 7 to 17). According to Anna Jacobson, IWGA communications manager, the agreement should make it possible to begin promoting the 2025 World Games to the Chinese public immediately. Chengdu is also due to host the World University Games next year.
