The French construction group Vinci has been responsible for the reconstruction of the legendary Dynamo football stadium in Moscow, estimated in total at more than 200 million euros, the project promoter, VTB Arena, said on Wednesday. Built in 1928, this stadium located in the immediate vicinity of the city center of the Russian capital hosted the football tournament of the 1980 Games and in the 1990s concerts by Michael Jackson and Deep Purple. It must be rebuilt by the end of 2017 as part of a vast project worth 26 billion rubles (600 million euros) including a stadium with 26.321 seats, a vast sports center, an underground car park with more than 1.500 spaces. and a neighborhood including housing, offices, shops and a luxury Hyatt hotel. Of this sum, nine billion rubles (210 million euros) must be spent on building the new stadium. Vinci’s share of this sum has not been specified.
