Paris vertically

Athletics

The First Tower in La Défense, the tallest French skyscraper with 50 floors and 231 m, will host the first “vertical” race in France on May 31. Called VertiGO, this event will be the first of its kind in France. It should accommodate 800 runners, who set out to tackle the 954 steps. A “vertical world circuit” of eight races has existed since 2011, with the tallest towers on the globe on the program, in the wake of the legendary Empire State Building in New York and its 1.576 steps for 86 floors.
