French badminton achieved a double blow by obtaining the organization of two consecutive European Championships. The first, for seniors, in 2016, the year of the Rio Games. The second the following year, but dedicated to juniors. The FFBad announced that it would soon launch a call for applications for cities wishing to host one of its two events. The French Badminton Federation, which currently has around 180.000 members, organized the world championships in Paris in 2010.
