A big step for peace? North Korea will send a women's football team to South Korea in July to participate in a regional competition, the first sporting exchange between the two countries since 2009, the South Korean Football Federation announced on Friday June 28. The North Koreans will compete in the South Asian Cup, with Japan, China, Australia and South Korea, from July 20. This is the first time since 2009 that a team from the North has traveled to the South, although the two countries have already played against each other in competitions abroad in the meantime.
