Three for one place

Skating

The list is getting closer. At the end of a first selection phase carried out online between December 15 and 31, during which the public and the media were able to express their choices through an electronic vote, the International Skating Union (ISU) revealed the nominees for its annual trophies. Three finalists were designated by the body's selection commission, in each of the six categories: best skater of the year, best costume, most entertaining program, revelation of the year, best choreographer, best coach. The most publicized trophy, designating the best skater of the year, will be played between the Russian Anne Shcherbakova, the American Nathan Chen (photo above), and the French dancing couple Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron. The winners of each category will be decided by a jury made up of six former figure skating champions. They will receive their trophy at the ISU gala evening on February 5 in Zurich.
