After the men, it's the women's turn. World Athletics has revealed the trio of finalists for the highly coveted title of Rising Star Woman of the Year 2024. The three young athletes in the running, all under 20 years old, represent three continents. The distinction, which will be announced on December 1 on World Athletics social networks, will be played between Ethiopia's Sembo Almayew (3.000m steeplechase), Serbia's Angelina Topic (high jump), and China's Yan Ziyi (javelin). It is difficult to identify a favorite, as the three finalists were all world under-20 champions this year. Two of them, Sembo Almayew and Angelina Topic, added to this performance a place as finalists at the Paris 2024 Games.
