The state of Nayarit, Mexico, will host the Baseball World Cup5 from September 24 to 27. The exact location of this mixed competition, urban variant of baseball and softball, will be announced soon, specifies the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WSBC). This edition will be the second after the one held in Ankara (Türkiye) in 2023. Cuba had won the title by beating France in the final. Sixteen teams will be competing, four more than in 2023. Nine have already qualified: Japan, Taipei, South Korea, Lithuania, Turkey, France, Ghana, Kenya and Mexico. The tournament will be qualifier for the 2026 Youth Olympic Games, organized in Dakar.
