World Championships to go to Tokyo

The International Lacrosse Federation has found the perfect venue. Tokyo will be responsible for organizing the Women's World Championship from July 24 to August 2, 2026. Two sites will be mobilized to host the 16 competing teams: the Oi Stadium (used during the 2020 Olympic Games for the hockey events) as well as Prince Chichibu Memorial Stadium, designated for the semi-finals, the third-place match and the grand final. “Dynamic city renowned for its world-class infrastructure, its exceptional hospitality and its cultural heritage, Tokyo offers the perfect setting to showcase the excellence of international lacrosse », said Jim Scherr, CEO of World Lacrosse.
