The project for a joint bid by the two Koreas for the Summer Games in 2032 is moving forward. According to South Korean media, a meeting is planned for Friday, November 2, between representatives of the two neighbors on the peninsula. It is to be held in Kaseong, a border village. The meeting was reportedly decided at the initiative of North Korea. In addition to the question of a possible Olympic bid, the North and South Koreans are expected to discuss the participation of a unified team in the Tokyo 2020 Games and certain other international events. The idea of a joint candidacy for the Summer Games in 2032 was suggested last September by the Seoul government, during an inter-Korean summit.
