The two Koreas advance

Olympics 2032

The project for a joint bid by the two Koreas for the Summer Games in 2032 is progressing well. It should accelerate further in the coming weeks. According to the South Korean news agency Yonhap, a working meeting is planned for the end of October in the border area of Kaesong between representatives of the sports authorities of the two neighbors of the peninsula. It will be partly devoted to the South and North bid project for the Summer Games in 2032, mentioned during the last summit in Pyongyang by the two Korean leaders, Moon Jae-in and Kim Yong-un. Officials from the two countries are also expected to discuss the possibility of forming a unified team at the 2020 Tokyo Games.
