It's done. The two Koreas agreed on Friday, November 2, to present a joint application for the Summer Games in 2032. Representatives of the sports authorities of Seoul and Pyongyang met in the morning in Kaesong, a border village located on the North Korean side. At the end of the meeting, the two neighbors announced in a press release their decision to prepare a joint candidacy from the South and the North. The two Koreas will send a very official letter to the IOC in Lausanne in the coming weeks to formalize their project. It was also decided, Friday, November 2, to enter a unified Korean team at the men's handball world championships in 2019. Finally, the two parties announced their intention to present several unified teams at the Tokyo Games in 2020.
