The athletics competitions of the 2015 European Games (June 12 to 28) are expected to be of a modest level in Baku. They only concern the countries of the 3rd division of the European team championship. But the organizers of the continental event managed the feat of bringing several stars of world athletics to the capital of Azerbaijan, invited to perform in demonstration events in the street. German pole vaulter Raphael Holzdeppe and Ukrainian high jumper Bohdan Bondarenko are among 24 athletes invited to compete in Baku on June 24-25.
