Long lagging behind, the organizers of the Lima 2019 Pan American and Parapan American Games are no longer slowing down. They announce in a press release, with supporting photos, that they have completed the construction of the athletes' village in advance. The work was to be completed by March 31, 2019. The complex's seven towers are now ready for use. No less than 500 volunteers, athletes and soldiers tested its proper functioning, particularly in terms of accessibility. Billed as the largest set of accessible residences in Peru, the Lima 2019 Games Village will be able to accommodate approximately 1.000 athletes, coaches and officials in 1.096 apartments during the Pan American Games.
