The Olympic Museum in Lausanne will be the venue for the International Federations Forum, organised by SportAccord, from October 27 to 29. Some 400 leaders from 120 FIs will be present to discuss the theme “The new global reality in sport: international federations in a world that refuses to stand still”. Athletes and experts will also contribute their experience and expertise during the roundtable discussions, which will focus on marketing and leadership in a fragmented world, the sustainability of the growth of women's sport and strategies to enable international federations to remain relevant throughout the year.

Petra Sörling, President of the International Table Tennis Federation, Max Cobb, Secretary General of the International Biathlon Union, François Vergnol, Executive Director of Commerce, Marketing and Communications of the International Equestrian Federation, Rob Rauch, President of the World Flying Disc Federation, and Giles Morgan, Head of Sponsorship at Howden Group Holdings, will discuss IFs' business strategies and digital engagement in an increasingly competitive environment.

The discussion on women's sport will bring together swimmer Pernille Blume, Fabio Azevedo, president of the International Volleyball Federation, Filip Suman, President of the International Floorball Federation, and Lombe Mwambwa, Research Director at the Global Observatory for Gender Equality and Sport. The panel on maintaining public interest beyond major event cycles will include Jiao Li, Sales and Marketing Manager of the International Skating Union, Richard Pettit, Secretary General of the International Canoe Federation, Kit McConnell, Brisbane 2032 Sporting Director, and Jonny Murch, CEO of RedTorch.
