With 50 days to go until the opening of Chengdu 2025, the International World Games Association (IWGA) and the Local Organizing Committee have unveiled the official medals that will be awarded to the athletes this summer (August 7-17). Celebrating international sporting excellence and Chengdu's rich cultural heritage ", they are shaped like a panda's head, with rounded ears.

Bamboo patterns, " reflecting the natural beauty of Chengdu ", and a hibiscus flower, known as one of the emblems of the host city, are also integrated. “These medals represent much more than a sporting achievement – they are a sincere tribute to the host city, its culture and the unifying spirit of the World Games », underlines José Perurena, president of the IWGA.
