OCEAN Sport's CO2 calculator, a tool to "move from intention to action"

The OCEAN Sport CO2 calculator is officially launched. Developed by the Oeko-Institut as part of the OCEAN project, with funding from the European Union and the support of the IOC and ANOC, this calculator offers a scientific tool to sports organizations to calculate their greenhouse gas emissions, understand them and thus work towards reduce their carbon footprint.

« The OCEAN tool is practical, multilingual (English, Spanish, French) and adapted to the daily activities of National Olympic Committees and sports organizations, thanks to la contribution from 18 European NOCs and several International Federations " said Folker Hellmund, Director of the EU Office of the European Olympic Committees (EOC). This tool allows sports organizations to moving from intention to action through reliable data and easy to understand ", emphasizes Tobias Wagner, researcher at the Oeko-Institut.
