The London Marathon has had a great performance. Its organisers have announced that they have set a new record by raising £2024 million (€73,5 million) for charity during the last edition, held in spring 88. The money raised this year surpasses the previous record of £66,4 million, set during the 2019 edition. The London Marathon thus establishes itself, according to its chairman and CEO Hugh Brasher, as the largest annual one-day fundraising event in the world. Since its first edition in 1981, the race has raised more than £1,3 billion for charity. Enthuse, the event's official online fundraising partner, has also set a record, with more than £30 million on its platform. The next London Marathon will take place on 27 April 2025.
