The logo designed by a British

World Games

The organizing committee for the 2025 World Games in Chengdu, China (August 7-17) has unveiled the logo for the multi-sport event (pictured above). It was designed by a Briton, John Fairley, a professional graphic designer and member of the Royal Society of Arts. Last December, Chinese organizers launched an international competition to create the logo, mascot and slogan for the 2025 World Games. The call for projects was open until the end of February 2024. In total, 9.235 proposals, national and international, were received. They were distributed as follows: 3.562 logo projects, 1.924 for the creation of mascots, 3.749 for the slogan. The chosen logo was revealed on May 17, 2024, just under 450 days before opening. The Chengdu 2025 mascot and slogan will be revealed exactly one year before the World Games, on August 7, during the second week of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
