Kremlin announces 97 countries for BRICS Games


The numbers are still climbing. Less than ten days before the event, the Kremlin assures that its BRICS Games, scheduled for June 12 to 23 in Kazan, will see the participation of 97 countries. The Russian Deputy Prime Minister, Dmitry Chernyshenko, announced it himself in a press release, specifying that all these countries had confirmed their presence in Kazan for a multi-sport event created from scratch by Russia. “Russia chairs the BRICS association in 2024, and in such circumstances this platform is of priority importance for our country», explained the former president of the organizing committee of the Sochi 2014 Winter Games. The BRICS Games will offer a program of around twenty sports.
