The International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) has just rewarded the most deserving National Federations, an initiative which aims to encourage federal organizations to take part in international competitions and to give their athletes a role to play in the life of the federation. And it was the British Federation which won first place, followed by the Belarusian and French Federations. The announcement was made via a press release which also recalls that the FIG is the oldest of the international federations and that it has been present at the Games since their establishment in 1896.
