The French Tennis Federation (FFT) is looking east. It announces that it has concluded a collaboration agreement for a period of two years with the Asian Tennis Federation (ATF), an association affiliated with the ITF. The signing took place as part of the Wimbledon tournament in the presence of Lionel Ollinger, the vice-president of the FFT in charge of the organization of major events, and the Kazakh Yuriy Polskiy, the president of the ATF (photo below -above). As part of this collaboration, the ATF will support the FFT in organizing the Roland-Garros Junior Series on the Asian continent. The final tournament of this competition, of which the two winners, male and female, will receive an invitation to the junior tournament of the 2025 edition of Roland-Garros, will take place in Tokyo from October 16 to 20. It will be preceded by two qualifying stages, organized respectively in Almaty, Kazakhstan, the week of August 5, and in Hainan, China, the week of August 12. More broadly, the agreement signed last week at Wimbledon aims to better sell the Roland-Garros brand and clay court throughout Asia.
