The FFA reveals its figures

Doping

Of the 1021 controls carried out by the French Athletics Federation in 2012, 17 resulted in sanction procedures, revealed Thursday its president, Bernard Amsalem, before the Senate commission of inquiry into the effectiveness of the fight against doping. Of the 17 positive cases, 4 concerned high-level athletes. Two were dismissed because they were injured and benefited from ATU (Temporary Authorization for Use, editor’s note). The other two are Hassan Hirt and Nour-Eddine Gezzar, convicted of doping with EPO.
