Bad news for the best European “badistas”. The International Badminton Federation (BWF) announced on Wednesday June 10 the outright cancellation of the 2020 European Championships. Initially scheduled for April in Kiev, Ukraine, they were first postponed later in the year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But the BWF was ultimately forced to remove the competition from the calendar, failing to find a date to reschedule it. But the capital of Ukraine does not lose everything: it retains the organization of the event, but next year. The 2021 European Championships will take place in kyiv from April 27 to May 2. The international badminton season is expected to resume on September 1 in Taiwan with a World Tour stop.
