The contract of the century

The International Badminton Federation (BWF) can rub its hands. Above all, she can look to the future with serenity. She has just signed the “contract of the century” with the Chinese group Dalian Wanda, owned by billionaire Wang Jianlin (photo above), considered the richest man in China. The amount of the contract has not been communicated, but it would expect “several hundred million” of dollars according to an internal source at the BWF. The Wanda group signed him via one of its channels, the marketing agency Infront Sports & Media, based in Switzerland. This partnership agreement ensures that Infront has exclusive marketing and television rights to major global badminton events over the next 8 years. According to Wang Jianlin, Wanda could further expand its influence in global sports by the end of the year.
