Responsibility for the fight against doping could be entrusted entirely, in the near future, to the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). This is in any case the wish of the IOC. Gathered at the “Olympic Summit” in Lausanne, along with representatives of the international federations, the members of its executive commission expressed their desire that the keys to the fight be henceforth entrusted to an independent body, namely WADA. One way, according to the IOC, to guarantee the integrity of controls. Such a reform would constitute a form of revolution in the sports movement, by removing control over anti-doping tests from international federations and organizers.
