The black streak continues for the International University Sports Federation (FISU). The Lausanne-based body announces that it has been forced to cancel five new university world championships, all initially scheduled for mid-October 2020 at the latest. The cancellations decided by the FISU steering committee concern boxing (Katowice), climbing (Turin), rugby sevens (La Plata), cheerleading (Wonju), and finally wakeboarding (Dnipro). All events organized by FISU until mid-September had already been canceled by an earlier decision of the steering committee.
