161 million euros. This is the sum paid by the BBC to secure broadcast rights for the next four Olympic Games, including those of Tokyo 2020. A jackpot divided into two parts: 71,6 million euros for Sochi 2014 and Rio 2016, then 90 million euros for Pyeongchang 2018 and Tokyo 2020. Rather expensive. But Sky Italia would have paid 152 million euros for the 2014 and 2016 Games.
