The number of basketball players, which has been growing for six seasons, increased from 491.271 in 2012-2013 to 500.033 in 2013-2014, according to figures from the FFBB. For the president of the Federation, Jean-Pierre Siutat, it is “the fruit of in-depth work carried out over many years by the Federation, the leagues, the committees and the clubs”, but also the reward for “excellent results of our French teams in recent seasons”.
