Unsurprisingly, the 2030 Commonwealth Games will be held in India. This was recommended by the Commonwealth Sport Executive Board in October. Ahmedabad has been officially designated as the host of this centenary edition Wednesday.

After a "reset" of the Games, we head to Glasgow 2026 in top form to host the 74 Commonwealth teams before turning our attention to Ahmedabad 2030 for a special centenary edition of the Commonwealth Games. India brings its scale, its youth, its ambition, its rich culture, his immense passion for sport and his relevance, and I am delighted to announce the strong interest shown by several nations in hosting the 2034 Games and beyond. »
Between 15 and 17 sports will be on the programincluding athletics, swimming, table tennis, lawn bowls, and weightlifting, all in both able-bodied and para-sports versions, as well as artistic gymnastics, netball, and boxing. The fate of archery, badminton, 3x3 basketball, beach volleyball, T20 cricket, cycling, diving, hockey, judo, rhythmic gymnastics, rugby sevens, shooting, squash, triathlon, and wrestling will be reviewed. The full list of events for the Centenary Games will be announced next year.
