The 2019 Cyclo-cross Worlds in Denmark

The International Cycling Federation (UCI) took advantage of the 2017 Cyclo-cross World Championships held in Bieles, Luxembourg, to take a closer look at the future of a discipline announced to be “booming”. The UCI steering committee validated at the end of last week the international cyclo-cross calendar for the 2017 season, of which the World Cup will have 9 stages between September 2017 and January 2018, in the United States and Europe. An international season where 19 nations are represented, Portugal and Australia making their appearance, Canada and Slovakia making their return. The UCI steering committee also awarded the organization of the 2019 cyclo-cross world championships to the town of Bogense, Denmark, located 200 km west of Copenhagen. Denmark organized the UCI cyclo-cross world championships in Middelfart in 1998.
