After rowing in 2015, French water sports have just obtained the organization of another global meeting. The city of Pau, in the Pyrénées Atlantiques, will host the canoe-kayak world championships in 2017. Defended by Tony Estanguet, the three-time Olympic champion in C1 slalom, the French candidacy was preferred to that of Krakow (Poland) by the International Canoe Federation, meeting in Glasgow.
