Former Kenyan athlete Tegla Loroupe, victorious in the New York Marathon in 1994 and 1995, was elected to the Laureus Academy. She becomes the 48th active member. Already involved within the Peace and Sport organization, as part of the Champions for Peace group, Tegla Loroupe will now be able to further extend its activist action alongside the Laureus Academy.
