SportAccord has taken care of its return

SportAccord

Absent from the calendar for four years, due to the health crisis and then the conflict in Ukraine, SportAccord was quick to find its place again. As evidenced by the results, published on Monday 9 September, of a report on the assessment and impact of the 2024 edition, organised last April in Birmingham, Great Britain. The SportAccord World Sport & Business Summit 2024 brought together more than 1.700 delegates from 65 countries. Media coverage of the event generated 130 press articles, with a combined potential reach of 1,47 billion people. SportAccord 2024 generated a direct economic impact of £2,71 million ($3,4 million) for Birmingham and the West Midlands. The 2024 edition proved, once again, to be an opportunity for exchanges in the sports movement. More than three-quarters of delegates in Birmingham (77%) said they expected to make new business connections as a result of the contacts they made at the event. Finally, the quality of SportAccord 2024 was highly praised by attendees, with an overall satisfaction rating of 9 out of 10. Delegates were particularly impressed by the location of the summit, the organisation and the facilities.
